- 2-1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp warm water
- 4 tsp yeast
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 6 Tbsp melted butter
- 3 Tbsp dry milk
- 2 tsp salt
- 6-6 1/2 cups flour
Filling:
- 2 lb ground beef
- 1 Tbsp dry onion
- 1 1/3 cup salsa or taco sauce
- 4 1/4 Tbsp taco seasoning
- 12 oz american cheese, grated

For filling:
- Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add egg, sugar and melted butter.
- Stir in dry ingredients, adding enough flour until dough does not stick to fingers.
- Use dough hook and knead for 10 minutes or until elastic.
- Let rise until doubled in size. Punch down and divide into 13 portions.
- Pat each portion flat with hands. Put 1/4 cup filling onto each center and pinch ends together to completely enclose.
- Put seam side down on baking sheet 2 inches apart.
- Let rise until doubled. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
For filling:
- Brown ground beef and drain.
- Add taco seasoning and onion. Chill overnight.
- Add salsa and cheese right before using.
- Mixture should form a ball that holds together when squeezed. Use 1/4 cup when portioning.
