Crockpot Green Chicken Chili

Yields: 4-6 servings

Temperature: N/A - Crockpot

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1, 16 oz jar salsa verde
  • 1, 15 oz can navy beans(great northern beans), drained and rinsed
  • Sour cream

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a crockpot
  2. Cook on low for 6-8 hours
  3. Before serving, shred chicken and add 5-6 oz sour cream or plain greek yogurt (depending on how creamy you would like it)
  4. Top with whatever you'd like (jalapenos, cheese, cilantro, tortilla chips, etc.)
  5. (if wanting to freeze- add all ingredients to a gallon size freezer bag. Cook on high if placing in crockpot frozen - if placing in crockpot thawed, cook on low)
