Lasagna

Yields:  2 - 9x13 inch pans

Temperature: 350 degrees

Ingredients:

  • 1 box lasagna noodles
  • 2 lbs mozzarella cheese finely shredded
  • 1 lb marble/colby jack cheese finely shredded
  • 3 lbs cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Parsley

For Sauce:
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • Garlic powder
  • Parsley
  • 4, 15 oz cans tomato sauce
  • 1 small can tomato paste

Directions:

  1. In a large pan, cook the ground beef seasoned with garlic powder until done, drain grease. Add in the tomato sauce, paste, and parsley, and simmer for about an hour.
  2. In a seperate pot, cook the lasagna noodles until al dente.
  3. In a bowl mix together 1 egg with the cottage cheese, salt, pepper, and parsley.
  4. In another bowl, mix together half mozzarella and half marble cheese - or combine as you are assembling the pans.
  5. Once everything is ready, grease your baking dishes.
  6. Begin the layering process (will do 2 whole layers)
    1. On the bottom- sauce/meat mixture
    2. Next - noodles
    3. Then - cottage cheese mixture
    4. Finally - mozzarella/marble cheese
    5. Garnish the top with parsley
